Give a black man a chance...

Here's Kanye's rant from backstage at the VMA's on the weekend.
I just caught a look at his new album 'Graduation'... what a great cover! Can't wait to listen to it!

Chubby Bunnies

The Beatles hold many music records - one of which is for the band with the highest number of UK Christmas #1 hits (The Beatles had four Xmas #1s - with "I Want To Hold Your Hand", "I Feel Fine", "Day Tripper" and "Hello, Goodbye"). With just a few months to go until they kick off their world tour, the Spice Girls are reportedly after their record...and have contracted George Michael to pen them a Christmas hit! The Spice Girls had three straight number 1 hits from 1996-98, and if George can write them another hit this year, they'll be on par with The Beatles.

The Wachowski Brothers, who wrote and directed The Matrix, are no more... as Larry is now a Lana. With Larry now having allegedly undergone surgery to complete his transformation into a woman, Lana and Andy will now drop the 'Brothers' from their name, to become known as just "The Wachowskis".

In a recent interview, Debbie Harry revealed that she was knocked back for a position as a Playboy bunny, because she was too thin! Apparently in Debbie's hey-day, Hugh Heffner was looking for girls with lots of curves, and the Blondie star didn't cut it. She just wasn't a chubby bunny!

It's awards ceremony season!! Britney Spears is appearing at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, and performing live for the first time in a long time. Britney did perform some shows at the House of Blues in the US a few months ago, but lip-synced during her performances. A few new Britney tracks have been leaked on the internet in the last 2 weeks, including one called "Gimme More" which kicks off with the line "It's Britney, bitch". Check it out here. Is it embarrassing that I'm excited about this comeback?!
In other awards news - Justin Timberlake has just won an award at the Creative Arts Emmys, for a fake music video that newspapers are having all sorts of trouble reporting on. Associated Press is referring to it as "(BLANK) in a box" and describes it as being "about wrapping a part of the male anatomy and presenting it to a loved one as a holiday present". Dick in a Box. Below.

Last up, Roisin Murphy (ex Moloko) has released a new video for her single "Let Me Know". Disco-tastic!
