Is Death Cab For Cutie a threat to Homeland security?

I love a conspiracy theory!
Death Cab for Cutie's guitarist Chris Walla has been working on a solo LP in Canada. He recently hired a courier to bring a hard drive containing some of the work for the tracks into the States, and had the drive confiscated at the border. The drive was handed over to computer forensics, and Walla allegedly still has no idea what has happened to it.
Luckily, there was a back up of the tracks, and his album, Field Manual, will be released in January next year. It is apparently 'very political' with songs about the war in Iraq and Hurricane Katrina. Walla's label is alleging that they believe the government may have known about the content of Walls'a new songs, and that could be what led to the confiscation of the drive at the border...

Kanye West has joined Kid Sister on her new single and video "Pro Nails". The single was released last week on Fool's Gold, and the video is directed by Ruben Fleischer, who was also worked with MIA on Galang and Dizzee Rascal on 'Fix Up Look Sharp'.
Find pics at Kanye's blog... as well as a video called 'how to buy a private island'!
Kid Sister's debut album will be out next year.
