Brilliant advertising for Berlitz language school out of Germany!

I wonder if we could get an ad with the line 'you come in gold' (and accompanying graphic!) onto Australian TV... probably not.

FIN.A.LLY

Two videos that I've been hanging out for have finally been put online.

First up is the Michel Gondry directed "Declare Independence" video for Bjork.

And Kid Sister, with Kanye West, in Pro Nails. Nail bars, UV lights, Kanye... could you want anything more?!!

There's no such thing as an old junkie

I love advertising. I could watch good ads all day.
This has just come out of the UK, from Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO.

DDB in France has created a series of ads for Bouygues Telecom. In the first, we meet all the contacts of Mathieu's mobile phone, in real life.

Number 2:

Number 4: (I've left out #3. It wasn't as good as the others)

And this one, from TBWA in France. Exploding cars.

Vote for Jem and the Holograms!

Saturday was the 25th anniversary of Michael Jackson's Thriller album. To help celebrate, Epic are releasing a special edition album in Feb next year - complete with a Kanye West remix of 'Billie Jean', and will.i.am taking on 'Pretty Young Thing' and 'The Girl is Mine'. It will also include a DVD with clips for Beat It, Billie Jean and Thriller - which at the time of it's release in 1983 was the longest, most expensive video ever made.

Grupthink are putting together a list of your favourite musicians with a difference... their list is letting you vote for your fave FICTIONAL band or artist!

The poll currently includes:

10 The Wonders (from the awful Tom Hanks film - That Thing You Do)
09 Jem and the Holograms
08 The Soggy Bottom Boys (O Brother Where Art Though)
07 Wyld Stallions (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure)
06 Bleeding Gums Murphy (The Simpsons)
05 Josie and the Pussycats
04 The Monkees
03 Spinal Tap
02 The Blues Brothers
and, of course, at #1 - Gorillaz

Go to the site and vote. Help get Jem and the Holograms to #1 !!

Bjork has enlisted Michel Gondry to direct her latest video for "Declare Independence". The French director of Science of Sleep has now done 7 of Bjork's videos. The final product has not yet been released, but a video [below] has been released, which includes Gondry explaining his process and shows some of the behind-the-scene work.

The Cobra Snake (aka 22 year old NY paparazzi photographer Mark Hunter) has been in Sydney with DJ Steve Aoki (founder of Dim Mak Records) for just over a week… and the Sydney fashionistas and scenesters have been going crazy trying to get snapped by him in an attempt to make it onto the pages of his blog. He was out with camera in hand at Bandits on Friday night, and got some pretty great photos – check out The Cobra Snaketo see if you can spot any familiar faces!

And this last up. Just to make you all feel that little bit smarter.
